Grover is astonished--and kids are delighted--to discover who is really the monster at the end of the book! ~product description
Review: I remember finding this one in a doctor's office waiting room when I was little. And I remember getting it out of the library to share with my then baby brother. I was full of giggles when I first read it and it still makes me smile to this day ...or that could be because of my daughter's gales of laughter too.
Grover is nervous about what he may find on the last page and goes to great lengths to keep the reader from turning the page -he pleads, he nails pages together, he even builds a brick wall. (Grover is scared of monsters!) [Spoiler Alert] The monster at the end of the book is, of course, lovable, furry old Grover. He is embarrassed and tries to save face as he remembers that not all monsters are scary. Grover teaches children that it's okay to worry, but sometimes a little more information can show you there's really nothing to worry about.
I love passing this story down to my daughter and I hope someday she will be able to share it too.
